A celebrated New York Times Three-Star Italian restaurant is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead the kitchen at its original flagship location.

This is a rare opportunity to steward one of New York’s most respected Italian dining rooms while partnering closely with an iconic Italian culinary leader on the restaurant’s next evolution. The role offers a defined pathway toward broader culinary leadership within the organization with locations in NYC, Hamptons and abroad OR is open to a CDC from a culinary aligned and creative brand ready to step into an EC role.


The Executive Chef will:

  • Lead all BOH operations for a high-volume, fine dining flagship
  • Collaborate closely with an award-winning wine team
  • Maintain full ownership of food cost, labor, purchasing, and inventory
  • Partner on seasonal menu development while protecting brand integrity, menu changes daily
  • Hire, mentor, and develop a strong BOH leadership team
  • Ensure DOH compliance and consistent three-star execution


Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years in senior kitchen leadership within upscale or fine dining
  • Strong foundation in Italian cuisine (regional depth preferred)
  • Proven financial acumen and team leadership at scale
  • Comfortable operating in a high-visibility, critically reviewed environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve any guest complaints or employee issues
  • Willing to accept guidance in a positive manner and implement the direction in a way that is productive for both you and the team
  • Ability to demonstrate quick thinking and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
